At Quality Care Group, we’re proud to support Chestnut Tree House, a vital children’s hospice providing care across Sussex and South East Hampshire. Our latest fundraising effort saw Lorrie Maslen, our Operations Director, embark on a challenging five-day trek through Cambodia alongside her husband, Martin, and 40 other participants.
The journey was anything but easy. Monsoon rains flooded trekking routes, forcing the group to navigate through difficult terrain, all while battling 40°C heat and 90% humidity. Despite the intense conditions, Lorrie embraced the experience, sharing how she fell in love with Cambodia and its welcoming, proud communities.
Most importantly, Lorrie and Martin’s dedication paid off. Through generous donations and multiple fundraising events, they raised an incredible £5,700 to support the essential work of Chestnut Tree House.
