After not writing a round up last week due to the news being the same negative news as the week before, this week we look at the positive only. Big engagement amongst care homes across the country with the King's Coronation and some potentially great news in helping with the staff retention.
Heather View a care home in Crowborough recently hosted a celebration to commemorate the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. The residents enjoyed a day of festivities, including a special menu and decorations, as well as musical performances and dancing. The care home staff dressed up in vintage clothing, and residents shared memories of the Queen's coronation in 1953. This event provided a sense of community and a chance to honour the Queen's long reign. It was a joyful occasion that highlighted the importance of celebrating cultural events and fostering a sense of togetherness among residents in care homes.

One of the UK's oldest women, 109-year-old Hilda Clulow, has written a letter to King Charles expressing her hopes for his reign.
