Health & Wellbeing

At Quality Care Group, we take immense pride in recognising the outstanding achievements of our team members both inside and outside of work. Today, we’re delighted to celebrate the incredible personal milestone of Sarah Evans, our Business Support Manager, whose dedication and determination are truly inspiring.

This year, Sarah has achieved an extraordinary feat: she has walked an impressive 2,760km (1,715 miles) to date. That’s an average of 241km per month, and by the end of the year, she’s on track to reach 2,932km (1,822 miles). To put this into perspective, that’s the equivalent of walking from John O’Groats to Land’s End three times, or from Brighton to Istanbul, Turkey (2,479km), and nearly from New York to Denver, Colorado (2,619km).

Sarah’s achievement isn’t just about the numbers. It’s about her unwavering commitment to maintaining her physical and mental well-being while balancing a demanding role at Quality Care Group. Rain or shine, Sarah finds time to walk, sometimes up to three times a day, whether it’s before work, during her lunch break, or after a long day. Her dedication is a testament to her resilience and the value she places on staying active and focused.

Inspiring Colleagues: The "Walk This Way" Club

Sarah's walking journey has also been a source of inspiration to her colleagues. Together with Simon van Os, Head of Customer Solutions, she has established a walking club called "Walk This Way," encouraging staff members to incorporate walking into their daily routines. Colleagues have enthusiastically signed up to walk before and after work and during lunch breaks. This initiative not only promotes physical activity and well-being within the company but also raises funds for worthy causes: Pollard's Promises and the Children with Cancer Fund.

A Culture of Well-being

Sarah’s determination reminds us all of the importance of self-care and finding ways to recharge, even during the busiest of times. She has shown that setting personal goals and sticking to them can have a transformative impact on both body and mind.

At Quality Care Group, we strive to foster a culture where achievements, big or small, are celebrated. Sarah’s story is a shining example of how perseverance and a positive mindset can lead to incredible accomplishments. Her commitment to walking every day, no matter the circumstances, inspires us all to prioritise our own well-being and strive for our personal best.

As we close start a new year, we want to take this opportunity to recognise Sarah’s remarkable journey and thank her for being such a positive force within the Quality Care Group family. Sarah, your achievement is a powerful reminder of what can be accomplished with dedication and determination. We are proud to celebrate you and all that you bring to our team.
